  • For the latest update (version 2.2.8) CLICK HERE and save the the file to Desktop, once downloaded  simply double click on setupMMUS.exe to start up the installation process
    • (version 2.2.4 corrects the foreign decimal point problem allowing MM+ to work for countries that use "," for decimal points.
    Version 2.2.6 has updated Marketcap exploration (need to install metastock link again) that multiplies Number of shares by current close price. Database refresh after update. Program License Registration improvements. Also, support page added to help menu.)
    Version 2.2.8 Adds g1,g2,g3,g4 GICS classifications. Uninstall your current version (control panel>add/remove software). Download the new version and install. Load new configuration (Tools>Load Configuration...). Update your database (click update button). Example of scan, paste "ExtFml("mmplus_us.Fund","G4")=55102010" into filter of explorer to scan for all Gas Utilities in G4.
    Version 2.2.10 Allows MM+ to run on a machine not connected to the internet (download data on another machine and copy file over and import)

Metastock chat session - 20th May 2004
Offline registration allows you to register MM+ on your computer using the offline approach. (Enter your serial number and the confirmation number that the program displays when using the offline registration link at bottom of registration window)
If you have problems with the scanning dll, the latest version (dated 29th Jan 2004) is here. Unzip it and overwrite the existing file at this location
C:\Program Files\Equis\MetaStock\External Function DLLs
with the new one. As an alternative, you can install the latest scans in the link below (with new Marketcap scan)
Make sure that Metastock is not running when you do this.
Also, the Marketcap scan has been updated to multiple the number of outstanding shares by the today's Close price (rather than then less current marketcap from the fundamentals database). You can install the Metastock scans using this install program, the latest version (dated 29th Jan 2004).

Another thing you can try is to enable the scanning debugging (from tools>options) which will write debugging information to the following file
c:\paritech_mm_us_scanning_dll_log2.txt

Important Notes
  • To use MetaMarket+, you must have a MetaStock Database. (it won't work if you only use Reuters on demand). You need this for two reasons:
       
    1. MetaMarket + only displays the fundamentals for securities that it finds in the MetaStock database 
    2. MetaMarket + uses the price information from the MetaStock database to calculate and display fields like average volume and price earning ratio etc.
         
  • MetaMarket + will not work with MetaStock version 7.2 or earlier.  If you desire to use the Fundamental scanning within MetaStock, you must be running MetaStock 8.0 or higher.
